My friend Chris will recall an email conversation yesterday where she mentioned that she didn’t mind if I told anyone that it was her birthday today.  My guess is she’ll probably regret that statement by the end of today. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Today is a landmark birthday for Chris! We’ve been friends through 80s, 90s, and the new millennium. 

We’ve been friends through blonde, red, brunette, short, medium, long, permed, and kinked hairdos!

 

We’ve seen so many rock bands/concerts together - way too many to mention.  Just pick a rock band from the 80s or 90s, we’ve probably seen them! 

We’ve been friends through boyfriends and husbands..okay well that was just me!  Just one special guy for you the whole time I’ve known you - Ron (a.k.a. Reggie Rock Star).

If I wasn’t 115 miles away from you today we would be celebrating in the usual way:

1. By you letting me buy you dinner and then many grape crush, pearl harbor, or malibu rum and pinapple drinks, however no cosmos for you girl! 

2. By you always being your “fun Chris” self and dancing on the tables! Okay, that was just once on another birthday of yours after many mudslides if I recall correctly?

3. By listening to many Bon Jovi and Journey tunes just to mention a couple of your favorites.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Since I am 115 miles away I can only do the following: 

1. Send this posting to everyone we know and make sure that you get as many birthday well wishes as possible today.

2. Change the background on my blog to be purple - your favorite color.

3. Paint my nails purple in your honor - I did really!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4. Wish you the very best birthday from afar until I can celebrate with you in person…
