So you’ve probably played with Google Earth extensively by this point in time..  You may also have heard and seen Microsoft’s answer to Google Earth - Windows Local Live, which offers a bird’s eye view as close as 25 yards away from an address.  Windows Local Live also allows you to view a location from different directions, which is very cool. 

Local Live is still in it’s beta phase, and to my dismay doesn’t have birds eye shots of New Hampshire or Europe destinations yet. However, it does have bird’s eye views of places I’ve lived in Massachusetts.

Because the images are a few years old, I discovered my old VW Beetle parked at my at my Dad’s house and my former apartment in Malden, MA.

I also found it parked at Bentley College in Waltham, MA, where I worked a few years ago.

I loved my VW Beetle.  To my dismay, my Beetle couldn’t handle the rough NH winters, the bumpy dirt road I live on, and eventually the engine died on me.

I’m happy to see it lives on in Local Live.
