My new hairdryer rocks!
I’ve been hearing about the new (or not so new) ionic and tourmaline technology in hair blow-dryers. I decided to breakdown and purchase a new hairdryer that has this new technology. $37.00 later, I was the proud new owner of a Conair 213 Professional Tourmaline Ceramic Technology Ionic Styler. Wow, now that’s a mouthful! Â
My Mom has wavy/curly hair and my Dad has straight hair. I inherited hair that falls somewhere in the middle of curly wavy and straight. My hair is fine but I have a lot of it. I can generally get it really curly or really straight with a great deal of work and styling products.  However, I’ve never been able to get my hair as straight as a professional stylist can. Â
My Dad, a hairdresser, tells me round brush, the right styling products, and a strong arm to pull your hair as your blow drying, is all you need to get hair straight. He claims the model of blow-dryer doesn’t really matter. However, I do know professional hairdressers that spend upwards of $200 for a good hairdryer.  Â
Before washing my hair this morning, I was speaking with my Dad on the phone and mentioned my new purchase to him. His reaction “Ionic and Tourmaline, what the hell is that? Do they put oil in it or something? I laughed at his skepticism and then worried that I just wasted $37.00 on a gimmick and embarrassed myself in the process.  Â
I just finished blow drying my hair for the first time with my new Conair 213 Professional Tourmaline Ceramic Technology Ionic Styler and I can’t believe how straight and smooth my hair is. There really is something to this Ionic and Tourmaline technology that smoothes frizzy hair. I feel like I just walked out of the salon! I’m completely amazed and in love. Where has this hair-dryer been my whole life?  My only complaint is that it is pretty heavy, my arm just got a workout!    Â

I would have told that I have an Ionic dryer at work and one at home. It dries my hair in half the time and I can get it pretty straight if I want to put a little effort into it.
