My fortunes and resolutions for the New Year.
I celebrated New Years Eve quietly with my husband at home in the very traditional way by having Chinese food, watching the ball drop, and a champagne toast at midnight. Well technically we had a Poinsettia toast - recipe below.
For fun we added “in the new year” to our fortunes.
Â
My foturnes for 2007:
Fortune truly helps those who are of good jugement - in the new year.
&
Your future is as boundless as the lofty heaven - in the new year.
Â
My husband’s fortunes for 2007:
A pleasant surprise is in store for you - in the new year.
&
A financial investment will yield returns beyond your hopes - in the new year.
Â
My resolutions for 2007:
None. I figure if I don’t make any resolutions - none can be broken! It is true what the say, with age does come wisdom.
Â
A suggested resolution for my husband in 2007:
Being the prankster that he is - I suggested he behave in 2007. He broke that resolution at 12:05 am this morning!
Â
My Poinsettia drink recipe:
fill a champagne flute 2/3 full of any champagne or sparking wine (I like Asti Spumante)
add a splash of cranberry juice and a couple of maraschino cherries.Â
Â
Have a happy 2007!
