My Mom has been mentioning to me that she wants to see “The Secret”.   I immediately dismissed it, assuming that it was my Mom’s new agey trend of the week.  But she has been talking about it for weeks now.  She finally saw it on Thursday, when her friend Casey mentioned that she had borrowed a copy from someone and then loaned it to my Mom to watch. 

The buzz has been that after learning “The Secret” people are changing their whole lives.  In conversations I had with Mom in the immediate days following her watching “The Secret”, admittedly her outlook on life has changed and she is noticeably more positive and confident.  She isn’t accepting any negative energy.  Even a stomach bug, that she has managed to catch, hasn’t brought her down.  Hmmm? 

My Mom mentioned that she wanted to order her own copy.  My brother Nick has already ordered his and was jealous that my Mom had managed to get her hands on a copy.   I logged onto Amazon.com yesterday and figured I would order a copy for my Mom and for myself.  Currently there is such a demand for “The Secret” that it isn’t shipping until March 1.   So I ordered a copy for my Mom and decided to wait on one for myself thinking that it is better to rent it before I invest $29.00 in my own copy.  Curiously, the original version of “The Secret” is currently going for $99.00 a copy on Amazon.  Why is “The Secret” considered so valuable? 

Well after watching the trailer at http://www.buythesecretonline.com/, admittedly my interest was piqued.  I decided that I didn’t want to wait any longer and went to Borders yesterday to get myself a copy.  To my dismay they were sold out of all versions of “The Secret” including the book, the audio CD, and the DVD.   

If you have a copy of the DVD and you live in the Concord, NH or Plymouth, NH area, can I borrow it for a night please?
