Toby Keith Concert at Great Woods a.k.a. Tweeter Center 9/22/07!!!

First off, let me start by saying, the Fan Club seats were so awesome and worth every penny! I was surrounded by true Toby fans which made the show an extra special event for me. I got lots of great pics and had the time of my life rocking out to Toby.

I spotted many VIP fans sporting their Toby replica horseshoe necklace. Being the Patriots fan that I am, I refused to wear mine, because it reminded me of the Indianapolis Colts. :|

Well it is now 8:49 pm on Sunday. I’m finally starting to feel like a human being again. I drove down with my friend Chris and her Mom Carol. We left Lowell, Mass. around 5:00 p.m. and arrived at Great Woods around 6:30 p.m. We had time for one drink, an almost (inside joke) Caribbean Bastard (recipe below), before heading into the show. I didn’t get home until 2:30 am this morning. Yawn..

My head has just stopped hurting. I’m still trying to figure out why I woke up with such a bad headache today. I only had one drink, so it couldn’t be a hangover?. It must have been from banging my head while Toby jammed out a few versus of Ted Nugent - Stranglehold. Man it was cool, and sounded so great! Wow Toby has a set of golden pipes on him - I didn’t realize he could hit notes that high! My ears are still ringing. You’d think I was at an ACDC concert! ;)

Toby played all his favorite tunes and of course finished his show in his Patriotic fashion singing “American Soldier” and “Courtesy of the Red White and Blue” and pulled up soldiers in uniform on stage to join him during this tear jerking tribute of a finale!

The only disappointment for me was that TK didn’t play more songs off his latest CD “Big Dog Daddy”. Toby did open with the title track and later played “High Maintenance Woman” and his soon to be #1 hit “Love Me If You Can”, however that was it off the new CD. I can understand though, because he has so many hits that the fans expect to hear, myself included, and he needs to give the people what they want. However, I was hoping to hear “White Rose”, “I know she hung the Moon”, or “Hit It”. It is such a wonderful CD with quite the mix of songs. I just love it.
