I was so excited when my husband Jeff told me TripAdvisor.com had emailed him an invitation to setup a travel map where you can place pins at all the destinations you’ve traveled to. It uses google maps technology, where you can specify the destination or zoom in and find destinations to add pins to your map.

I love to travel and TripAdvisor.com is my travel bible. It has never steered me wrong! This is due in part to it being completely unbiased opinions of hotels and destinations. It is wonderful!

On Friday I happily found my invitation to create my travel map waiting for me in my inbox! So I created my travel map and shared it with several family and friends and asked them to do the same in return.

It is so much fun trying to relive all your journeys, and it is nice to have a record of desitations you’ve been to in one place. It is also been fun to learn where friends and relatives have traveled to and has made for some interesting conversations.

I keep thinking of additional places I’ve been and have been adding pins to my map all weekend as travel memories and destinations have been popping in my head.

Seeing my travel map, makes me aware of the fact that I still have many other destinations to travel to in my lifetime. Currently, I’m sad that I have no pins on my map that fall below the equator, or no pins in Asia! I’m also aware that I have much more traveling to do within the U.S.

I’m becoming obsessed with trying to plan to how to put new pins onto my map. What a nice excuse to have to travel and see more of the world!
